Keith Ivory Millner Named Invest Atlanta’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
ATLANTA – Invest Atlanta President and CEO Dr. Eloisa Klementich announced today that Keith Ivory Millner has joined Invest Atlanta as the agency’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. Millner’s corporate and entrepreneurial career spans more than three decades and includes executive-level experience across a diverse set of industries.
“Keith is uniquely suited to excel in his new leadership role at Invest Atlanta,” said Dr. Klementich. “Throughout his career as an executive in the financial services, health care and consulting industries, Keith has demonstrated the ability to improve efficiency, implement new technologies and motivate his team members. He is the right choice to help us continue to raise the level of service Invest Atlanta provides and drive operational efficiencies.”
Most recently, Millner was Principal-Strategic Relationships with North Highland Consulting. In this role, he was responsible for identifying, nurturing and monetizing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. In an earlier role as Georgia Market President for CertusBank, Millner led operations for the company’s retail and commercial business units. He is also the former President of Nationwide Financial Network and served as Executive Vice President, Head of Sales and Account Management at ActiveHealth/AETNA.
“I would like to thank Dr. Klementich, Mayor Reed and the board of directors for giving me the opportunity to advance the vision they have developed for Invest Atlanta,” said Millner. “I look forward to working daily with a dynamic and passionate group of people to make Atlanta more competitive in the 21st-century global economy.”
Millner holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Guilford College and a master’s in Business Administration in Marketing from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business. He also completed advanced studies in information technology/business strategy at TIAS Business School at the University of Navarra in Barcelona, Spain.
Ernestine Garey held the EVP and COO position before deciding to retire from Invest Atlanta this year. As an Invest Atlanta executive, Garey made significant contributions to the Atlanta community in the economic and community development arena. She also served as interim president and CEO of Invest Atlanta and was instrumental in the issuance of over $1 billion in housing revenue bonds, creating more than 15,000 units of affordable workforce housing in the City of Atlanta.
“Few people have done more for community development in the City of Atlanta than Ernestine,” said Dr. Klementich. “Her work on housing and neighborhood revitalization has touched the lives of countless Atlantans. We wish her the best in all her future endeavors.”
