ATLANTA (August 6, 2026) — Invest Atlanta's Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program continues to accelerate sustainable economic development across Atlanta and Georgia, surpassing $130.4 million in financing closed in 2026 while supporting transformative redevelopment projects that reduce operating costs, strengthen resiliency, and advance environmental sustainability.
“These accomplishments are the direct result of tremendous collaboration across Invest Atlanta and with our public and private partners,” said Mayor Andre Dickens who also serves as Board Chair of Invest Atlanta. “Together, we are proving that C-PACE is one of the most effective tools available for financing sustainable, resilient growth in Atlanta and across Georgia.”
The milestone reflects the growing adoption of C-PACE as one of the region's most effective financing tools for commercial property owners seeking to incorporate energy efficiency, water conservation, and resiliency improvements into new construction and redevelopment projects. In addition to its continued success in Atlanta, Invest Atlanta is expanding its statewide footprint through Peach State C-PACE, recently welcoming Putnam County as the second local government to participate in the program.
"C-PACE is helping shape the future of development in Atlanta by making sustainable building investments more financially attainable," said Dr. Eloisa Klementich, President and CEO of Invest Atlanta. "These projects demonstrate that economic growth and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. Through innovative financing and strong public-private partnerships, we're helping developers build more resilient properties while strengthening Atlanta's economy and creating a model that communities across Georgia can follow."
Invest Atlanta recently closed a $10 million C-PACE financing transaction for Pullman Yards, supporting the continued redevelopment of the historic arts and entertainment district.
The financing will fund energy efficiency and resiliency improvements for the development's new 142,000-square-foot parking deck, including the installation of 84 electric vehicle charging stations. The project marks the fourth C-PACE transaction at Pullman Yards, reinforcing Invest Atlanta's long-standing partnership in transforming one of Atlanta's premier adaptive reuse destinations.
Invest Atlanta also closed a $56.4 million C-PACE financing transaction for The CTR (formerly CNN Center), one of the largest redevelopment projects currently underway in Downtown Atlanta.
The financing supports extensive energy efficiency, resiliency, and modernization improvements throughout the property's 1.1 million square feet. Upon completion, the project is expected to generate more than $3.4 million in annual energy and water savings while eliminating more than 31 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions each year, demonstrating the significant economic and environmental value C-PACE financing can deliver.
With all this momentum, Invest Atlanta also announced the expansion of Peach State C-PACE into Putnam County, marking another important step toward establishing a statewide market for sustainable development financing.
As additional communities opt into the program, Invest Atlanta is helping local governments unlock private capital for clean energy investments while positioning Georgia as a leader in innovative economic development finance.
