If we want to attract and retain innovators and entrepreneurs, then we have to be innovative and entrepreneurial. In this spirit, Invest Atlanta recently hosted a roundtable where millennials who live and work in Atlanta expressed a preference for home ownership over rent, single-family homes instead of condominiums, and self-employment over traditional work for an employer.
We are now looking at our tools, programs and initiatives to ensure that they address the preferences of our up-and-coming workforce so that Atlanta remains economically competitive.
I would also like to welcome Keysight Technologies to the City of Atlanta. They are a wonderful new addition to our Midtown tech community.
