Cheshire Bridge Dine and Shop, May 17-21
The Cheshire Bridge Road Restaurant & Retail Association is hosting a Dine and Shop Week to attract customers back to the impacted area and support neighborhood businesses. The effort will run from Wednesday, May 17 through Sunday, May 21.
I-85 Small Business Resource Event
On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Invest Atlanta and our partners joined together to share what resources available to businesses impacted by the I-85 closure. It was an opportunity to meet with local service providers offering technical assistance, financing, consulting services, and more.

Soon after the closure, Invest Atlanta surveyed businesses in the area to determine how this event was impacting them. This feedback informed our decision to host the I-85 Small Business Resource Event, and helped Invest Atlanta and our partners identify key actions to take in support of affected businesses. In response to the closure, the City of Atlanta launched CommuteATL, an online platform designed to help residents and visitors plan their travel while the Interstate 85 bridge is being reconstructed. The map incorporates real-time travel alerts from Waze, MARTA bus and rail schedules, and the locations of Relay Bike Share stations.
