Dr. Klementich Honored by Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors

Invest Atlanta President & CEO Dr. Eloisa Klementich was recently awarded the Henry H. Robinson Award by the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR). Dr. Klementich received the honor at a ceremony held in December of 2018.

“I can think of no one more deserving of this award than Eloisa Klementich,” said Chris Ahrenkiel, executive vice president of Selig Enterprises, and a member of the board of directors of Invest Atlanta and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR). “The major wins she’s had during her tenure include some of the most high-profile real estate deals and community development efforts the city of Atlanta has seen in decades.

He added: “Throughout my time on the Invest Atlanta board of directors and in Atlanta’s real estate community, I have witnessed Eloisa’s tirelessness, tenacity, and resilience first-hand. Her dedication to Atlanta has left a mark on our city for generations to come.”

Since her appointment as CEO of Invest Atlanta in 2016, Dr. Klementich has overseen more than 1,500 economic and community development projects; facilitated the creation of more than 28,000 new jobs; created more than 3,000 affordable housing units; and brought $4.6 billion of new capital investment to the city – efforts that have yielded a total of $10.3 billion in economic output. During her tenure, projects including NCR and Norfolk Southern headquarters have come to fruition, as well as the revitalization of Westside neighborhoods working with the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and other community partners, and helping finance new assets such as the Coda high-performance computing facility at Georgia Tech and the Emory Proton Therapy Center in Midtown.

“I have never met anyone more hard-working than Eloisa,” said Kirk Rich, Avison Young Agency leasing principal, ACBR board director and awards committee member who served on the Invest Atlanta board for three years. “She has absolutely hit a home run with her leadership at Invest Atlanta.”

“During my time at Invest Atlanta, we have facilitated the creation of more than 44,000 direct jobs and $6.1 billion of new capital investment for the city – but those are just numbers,” she said. “Seeing first-hand how our tools can change lives – whether it’s providing affordable housing to families, facilitating the goal of homeownership or helping an entrepreneur realize their dream of starting a business – is something I cherish and am proud to be a part of.”
