Invest Atlanta, in partnership with Rolling Out magazine, recognized June as National Homeownership Month by co-hosting “Journey to Homeownership Virtual Conference.”  

More than 600 prospective homebuyers attended the event, which was part of the Star Studio & Home Ownership Virtual Conference presented by Rolling Out. Attendees received insightful information to prepare for homeownership and helpful resources on everything from understanding your credit and mortgage lenders to the ins and outs of loan paperwork, working with a real estate agent and the closing process.

Invest Atlanta also shared information on the incentives and down payment assistance available to potential homebuyers. 

According to Anita Allgood, director, Single-Family & Homeownership Services for Invest Atlanta, many participants are first time homebuyers who find the process intimidating.  “By breaking down each step into interactive sessions with stellar partners, we remove all the unknowns and give people the confidence to move forward,” said Allgood. “It really is about exposure. Invest Atlanta has become a premiere resource for providing in depth information about the homebuying process, including our incentives. Partnering with Rolling Out and similar organizations allows us to expose their fan base to our incentives and reach people who may not have known about Invest Atlanta and what we have to offer.”
