Rahfeal Gordon is a busy man.
The leadership advisor, entrepreneur, and author, also known as RahGor, has published 18 books, is the principal owner of the branding and publishing company Madison + Park and is the global ambassador of the International Hub in Norway, which supports entrepreneurs from around the world. He also is a keynote speaker, advisor to world leaders and co-founder of Voices for World Peace Organization.
RahGor even served as a mentor and advisor for The Queen’s Young Leadership Program in the United Kingdom. Each undertaking is purpose-driven and met with the drive and authenticity that defines RahGor’s personal and professional brand.
“All my business ventures are in alignment with my personal purpose to make a positive impact in the world,” says RahGor. “There's so much that we can do through business, entrepreneurship, and as human beings. I want to serve as an advisor and mentor to others that I didn't have coming up.”
Even with all his success, RahGor found that he, himself, was in need of additional support and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the lockdown, he began to build out an idea to showcase up-and-coming Madison + Park authors and document their journey to inspire others who are writing their own books. RahGor applied for, and received, a Creative Industries Grant to support the online series “How I Wrote It.” The endeavor, in fact, has been so well-received that RahGor has turned the $5,000 grant into what is forecasted to reach $800,000 by the end of the year.
“The financial support helped to lift this project off the ground during a very uncertain time,” says RahGor. “Invest Atlanta proactively reached out to help me complete the grant application and offered resources, which was amazing. They have a finger on the pulse of entrepreneurs; they understand our needs and, most importantly, that time is our most precious commodity.”
RahGor has also leveraged the business resources available on the ATLinBusiness platform, which taps into a network of local business experts to provide no-cost, one-on-one business consulting and coaching. RahGor says having these kinds of resources not only helps emerging businesses launch and stay afloat, they also inspire more established businesses to keep creating and plan for what's next.
“Even successful entrepreneurs are still growing, still have hardships and still need support from other organizations,” he explains. “Invest Atlanta is a key pillar in the Atlanta community and is so effective in providing the resources and mentorship that entrepreneurs truly need. My goal is to go higher and bigger, to have enough resources and funding to give back to Invest Atlanta and ATLinBusiness the same way they've supported me.”
