The Invest Atlanta Board of Directors has approved the first allocation from the Small Business Improvement Grant, a new program launched in November 2019.

Talon Plumbing Services, LLC, located at 730 Pryor Street SW, will receive an amount up to $20,000 to finance improvements to its commercial property in the Stadium Neighborhoods TAD and Mechanicsville neighborhood. It will also receive an amount up to $10,000 from the NPU V Small Business Improvement Grant program to finance additional improvements to the property. The NPU V Small Business Improvement Grant program was created in partnership with the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Talon Plumbing Services, LLC, recently relocated from Dekalb County to the city of Atlanta.

Invest Atlanta launched the Small Business Improvement Grant to utilize available tax increment to strengthen local businesses by providing matching grants toward the improvement of commercial buildings.
