NCR Expands New Global Headquarters in Atlanta

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Gov. Nathan Deal have announced that the NCR Corporation will create more than 1,800 jobs and invest $145 million through an expansion of NCR’s new Midtown Atlanta campus. The expansion will include construction of a second tower at its global headquarters to bring together employees from the Alpharetta, Atlanta and Duluth offices.

“I am pleased that NCR has chosen to further expand its global headquarters campus in the City of Atlanta through another capital investment in Midtown and by bringing more than 1,800 skilled professionals to our city,” said Reed.

NCR’s state-of-the-art world headquarters campus will be located at the corner of 8th Street and Spring Street in Midtown Atlanta, in close proximity to Technology Square, Georgia Tech and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The second tower is scheduled for occupancy in the first quarter of 2019.

“Atlanta continues to grow as a global technology center that offers companies access to top talent, renowned research institutions and advanced technology infrastructure. In our world-class business community, entrepreneurs and executives can find everything they need to build their dreams,” Reed added.

The announcement follows NCR’s January 2015 news that the company will move its world headquarters to the City of Atlanta and bring 3,600 jobs to its new campus. Phase I of the project, which features a 20-story tower, is under construction and is scheduled for completion in Q1 2018. Phase II, which is in the design phase, will feature a connected, 14-story office tower and is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in Q1 2019.
