New Home for Westside Works Opens in Vine City

Quest Community Complex, a catalytic project that will have substantial impact toward creating successful outcomes for Atlanta’s Westside, held its grand opening celebration on October 10, 2016. Invest Atlanta provided a $3.5 million grant for the project. As the new home to Westside Works, the contemporary 12,000 square-foot facility in Vine City will be a community resource, providing nearby residents with access to job training, economic development opportunities, and other resources.

Westside Works is a long-term neighborhood program with a mission focused on creating employment opportunities and job training for residents of Vine City, English Avenue, Castleberry Hill and other contiguous Westside neighborhoods. To date, Westside Works has placed about 350 people into full-time jobs earning an average of $12 an hour. They’re training hundreds more to work in the construction, technology, healthcare and food and beverage services industries.

Sponsors for the Quest Community Complex include Invest Atlanta, PNC Bank, Atlanta Housing Authority, The Home Depot Foundation, and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
