Charlie Whitfield, the founder and CEO of Whitty IT Solutions, thanked Invest Atlanta for helping her grow her Atlanta-based tech company. 

Whitty IT Solutions is an IT and professional services company. They provide project management, program management, data analytics, heatlh care IT, FinTech, and cybersecurity solutions.

“Invest Atlanta has been awesome,” she said. “You’re talking about mentoring, not just funding, but guidance. Invest Atlanta provides access to capital, which is something small businesses don’t always have. When you paint the picture of where you are, and let them know where you want to be, they can help you get there.” 

Whitfield has grown her IT business from a sole proprietorship to a thriving company with 16 employees, and offices in Atlanta as well as Alabama, Florida, Virginia, and South Carolina. Invest Atlanta’s Business Retention and Expansion team has worked closely with her during this time.

“The partnering with Invest Atlanta has allowed us this opportunity,” said Whitfield.  

Whitfield began her business in Atlanta, which described as a thriving “tech hub.” 

“This is the best city for tech,” she said. “It’s affordable, number one. We have a great university system and it’s cultivating wonderful tech people. And this small business is right here. We don’t need to go anywhere else. The City of Atlanta is very open to doing business with women, minorities, and veterans.”
