New Primary Care Facility to Open in the Westside

A blighted property, that has been vacant for more than 20 years, will soon be transformed into a full-service healthcare entity, serving the Grove Park and greater Westside communities.

Invest Atlanta closed on a $500,000 Perry Bolton Tax Allocation District (TAD) grant to Ames Properties, LLC.  Owner and entertainment attorney, Jonathan Leonard, acquired the 11,000 square-foot commercial property located at 2056 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in 2021 with the intent to renovate.

Now under development, the property will be leased to a full-service healthcare entity, Primary Care Cohort 2 PropCo, which is an affiliate of Humana, Inc. In addition to the nearly $1.8 million investment, supporting the whitebox construction PropCo will invest capital to complete the buildout of its offices, which are scheduled to open in September 2022. The remaining 2,500 square footage will be available for lease to a compatible business.

“This is a much-welcomed amenity to the corridor,” says Semira Ajani, assistant director, Westside Initiatives. “The project is the first Resurgence Grant to be awarded in the Perry Bolton TAD and represents an outstanding win for the Grove Park neighborhood and the greater Westside.”
