On Saturday, June 10 Invest Atlanta and Atlanta BeltLine co-hosted the Southwest Connector Trail Open House Walking Tour 2017. The free home tour event, now in its third year, allowed hundreds of prospective homebuyers to learn helpful information about purchasing a home near the Southwest Connector Trail with Invest Atlanta down payment incentives.
Starting from Beecher Hills Elementary School, attendees could take a self-guided walking tour of available homes for sale in the adjacent Beecher Hills, Westview, and Audobon Forest neighborhoods. All the available homes were located within two miles of the school and were featured on a handy event map.
Anita Allgood, manager of Invest Atlanta’s homeownership center, led a well-attended Homebuyer Q&A session, while Michele Lewis and other IA homeownership specialists answered questions throughout the day. Community leaders, mortgage lenders, real estate agents, and homebuyer education providers were also on hand to share homebuyer education and financial wellness resources to homebuyers interested in affordable intown living.
Other IA partners in attendance were Trees Atlanta, who led an arbotreum tour, and Relay Bike Share, who offered bike rentals for those interested in exploring the 1.15-mile Southwest Connector Spur Trail. And with live music, a DJ, and a face painting station at the Kids Corner, the day was fun for the entire family.
